Best Places to Visit in Honnavar
Kasarkod Beach
A long, quiet beach 5 km south of town, backed by casuarina trees — the most swimmable and least crowded beach near Honnavar.
Nirvana Beach
Even quieter than Kasarkod, just south of it — good for sunset and photography with almost no crowds.
Apsarakonda Waterfall
A rare waterfall-meets-beach spot, reached by a short forest walk. Best seen in flow just after monsoon.
Idagunji Ganapati Temple
One of Karnataka's most important Ganesh shrines, especially busy during Ganesh Chaturthi.
Honnavar Jetty & Fish Market
The working fishing jetty where boats come in — good for an early morning look at the local fishing economy and fresh catch.
Manki Beach
A lesser-known beach stretch north of Honnavar, quiet even by local standards.
Kumta
